A Downtown Wedding
A Downtown Wedding Noemi and Peter's wedding was almost ruined by rain but the buildings in downtown Chicago always hold great potential for photography. This is one of the last wedding day shots, taken on the roof of a downtown Chicago building in the rain. It so happen that this wedding photograph made it into the Today's Chicago Woman magazine, March 2012 edition. Look closely and you'll see the rain. Congratulations Noemi and Peter!

A Museum Wedding
Niki and Drew chose the Chicago History Museum as the backdrop of their wedding ceremony and reception. The fabulous interior and well-kept grounds provided a beautiful setting for their wedding guests. The nearby park and artful interior provided beautiful scenes for their wedding photography. A live entertainment band, personalized light show and beautiful courtyard made the newlyweds very happy.

A girl's best friend
Sometimes our furry friends can be as much a part of a wedding as any other guest. Our bride decided to show her love for her four legged friends by having them walk down the aisle. At least that was the original plan. Last minute changes kept the dogs at home but not before we had a chance to produce some wonderful pictures for our bride and groom's wedding album.

Last shot of the day
There is something to be said for the last shot of the day at every wedding we photograph. Maybe because there is so much pressure to get "one more" great wedding picture, or maybe the realization that it will be over soon forces you to try your hardest to wow the bride and groom. This wedding picture was taken in Valparaiso IN on our way back to the car, after a post ceremony shooting session with the bride and groom along with their wedding party.

A kiss under the sun
It is often very difficult to have great wedding photography under the harsh sunlight. While waiting for their wedding guests to arrive at the cocktail hour the bride and groom finished their wedding photography session and were goofing around. The sun was shining between them and with the camera settings all wrong we've transformed a kiss into an original and memorable photographic moment. Let the sun shine!

An outdoor wedding
Jill and Matt's wedding photo session was just beginning and the actual knot they tied was to be part of the photography session. How do you represent a knot in pictures and capture what the newlyweds had in mind when they tied it? A tug of the rope signifies their desire for this knot to never come undone. Capturing the pose for their wedding album was a different story but with the help of a good assistant and a few flash-heads another wonderful wedding photograph made it in their wedding album. Most people ask if this wedding photograph is done in the studio. The answer is no.

Would you like to tango?
Obviously they are too young to know how to tango, but that's what the picture seems to say. When it was captured the wedding reception just started and the young ones wanted to be on the dance floor. It is moments like this; unrehearsed and unplanned that makes great photography at weddings or in life. We're thankful for being part of the newlywed's life and to capture for them photographic moments just like this. A professional wedding photographer should be at the top of your wedding list.
